Here’s my attempt at making my thumb a little less black and tiny bit more green. This picture was taken on day 6. I followed my sister’s advice by soaking the iris bulbs in water stored in the dark for the first few days to jump start the root growth.

It seems each time I think or plan too far ahead, I get a big old bite in the ass as reminder that life is about now.
