Being in the holiday spirit, I decided to switch to the Merry Christmas theme made by Jai Nischal Verma. I had to modified the theme a little to make it work with my content. It’s pretty simple.

• I made the title of the blog to be visible. I think it’s important for people to see especially when this theme is free for all.
• I removed the blue box on the main index page because the original layout of having short excerpt of recent post in it only works for wordy blogs.
• I moved the comment template block to be apart of the post instead of sidebars therefore giving the green & red sidebars more room to breathe.

Although it need more, I don’t think it’s necessary since I am only using this for the month of December. I still haven’t given up on making my own theme for this site. Here are some screen captures:

I am starting over from scratch again. The great thing about having my own personal domain is whenever my mood strikes me, I can wipe everything clean and start with a blank page. And if my mood wants to revisit old memories, I can always reach into my archives saved on my hard drive and repost. Seriously, who really reads my archives other than me? I think starting over will be a good way to reorganize my content and categorization. It’s also nice NOT being restricted by it.
