mall on top of Victoria peak view from Victoria peak

Going to The Peak was a must do for me when I went to Hong Kong. The view was pretty but I was quite disappointed in how commercialize it is and what a tourist trap the place turned out to be. To get the best view, we have to pay extra to go to the very top of the mall in additional to the fare we paid for the tram that takes you up 45 degree angled mountain. The ride was short but the line to get on the tram to go back down was like an amazement park ride. Fancy expensive restaurants are strategically placed with the best view where the public viewing area is packed with tourists. It was not what I imagined it to be.

Murio’s Trophy Room

Murio's Trophy Room Murio's Trophy Room

Murio’s Trophy Room is way too clean and way too bright to be a dive bar. Drinks are not cheap. Single shot drinks are full of ice and not much alcohol. Double shots are stronger but the glass is pretty regular looking for $12. Service is super slow. If you are intending to get wasted on cheap drinks, this is not the place.
