Hurt So Good

Random May 22nd, 2008

Running gear I felt so guilty for not running on the treadmill in the past eight days, I decided to go for the 10K run program on my Nike+. Surprisingly I didn’t stretch and somehow managed to stay on the treadmill for 60 minutes! One great thing about treadmill is that it helped me keep my pace constant and it’s easy on the knees for longer runs. Half way through, my right calf felt tight and right now my abs are hurting and burning like I did a thousand sit-ups. I definitely need to do this more often.

Time to Start Running…

…on the treadmill! My new running shoes just arrived! They feel so light and comfy! I first discovered these a few months back at Niketown but didn’t want to pay full price, $85. Last week, I went online at Nike.com to add them on my wishlist and discovered it was on sale for $55 but it didn’t have my size (5.5) in the color I wanted. So I went to Niketown again to discovered that they only have a size 6 and in a lighter grey color. One thing I discovered about Niketown is their store does not honor the same prices as online! That’s bogus. So, I went home, froogled it and found these at Nordstrom for $65 including tax and shipping. Ahhh…it feels good to find a bargain!

[Update] Just came back from the gym. Running in these Nike Free feels good. Now if only my calves and knees feels the same.
